Half-life
The time taken for the plasma concentration of a drug to decrease
by half. In chronic therapy, drugs are usually given at intervals approximating the
half-life so the rate of drug administration equals drug elimination.
Hashimoto's:
An autoimmune disorder in which antibodies are produced. This causes fibrosis
of the thyroid gland, which interferes with the ability
of the thyroid to produce hormones.
