News, Rants & Site InfoSep 16, 2002: This is the beginning of a major expansion and improvement of our supplement price comparison. We've got lots of new merchants and tons of new products. Our goal is to create the biggest, as well as the best and most useful, vitamin price comparison. Selma has hired the help that she needs to take this to the next level, and I'm setting up the database so -- whenever possible -- it compares apples to apples. For example, CLA comes in all sorts of potencies as well as different sizes and prices. Some of these supplements contain 800 mg of actual CLA per pill; others contain 600 mg or less. To compare apples and apples, you've got to crunch the numbers. So in addition to comparing the price per bottle, we also tell you how much a 3000 mg dose of CLA will cost you. This is the only way to find out which supplements are the real bargains. We have lots of NEW categories: Chitosan, GLA, Growth Hormone Boosters, HMB, Melatonin and Vanadyl Sulfate. Of course, all the vitamin price comparisons can be accessed through the "Supplement Price Comparison" drop down menu at the top of every page. We have greatly expanded our MultiVitamin comparison. All the multivitamins are split up into Iron and Iron-Free formulas. We also have additional convenient subcategories: MultiVitamins For Kids (babies, children and teens), Mens, Prenatal, Seniors, Time-Release, Vegetarian and Womens formulas. The Protein Shake price comparison now includes the "Cost per 50 Grams" of protein powder. This is much better than cost per "Serving" because the serving size varies from 25 grams to 150 grams or more. We crunch the numbers so you can find the REAL bargains. We now have so many products and competing merchants that we had to split the protein powders into three tables to keep the page size semi-reasonable. We have all the protein powders split up by brand: A-E, F-N and O-Z. We also have additional convenient subcategories: Carb/Hydration shakes, Low Carb shakes, Meal Replacement and Soy shakes. I'm currently working on a MAJOR update of the thermogenic fat burners and green tea categories, as well as a price analysis of creatine, andro, etc. Let us know what you think. We are not a big corporate site - we listen!. The continuing evolution and improvement of DrumLib.com is the result of implementing cool ideas (our own and our readers) and avoiding stuff that sucks (pop-up windows, overly aggressive, giant advertisements that take 3 years to load, etc.) Since we are committed to keeping our content free, we prefer to base our financial survival on providing a truly useful price comparison. Thanks for your support.
