Jan 13, 2003: We have another big
expansion of our vitamin price comparison. Weight loss supplements have been divided into
two main categories -- products that contain ephedra or ephedrine hcl and those that do
not. They can be found in our drop down menu as Diet:
Ephedra and Diet: Ephedra-Free.
We have also added the following categories to our vitamin price comparison: Chromium, Cold/Flu
Formulas, Creatine, DMSO, Echinacea,
Enzymes, Fiber,
L-Glutamine, Yohimbe
and ZMA.
I have been asked why I research and write about health issues instead of becoming a
doctor or something. Well, as long as the medical industry is burdened with so many
onerous government regulations, I plan to keep a safe distance. If you think I'm kidding,

TurboTax Warning! In case you haven't heard, Intuit has
put product activation and a nasty, hard-to-remove copy protection scheme called C-Dilla
on their new version of TurboTax. This
article has info on alternative tax software and you can read about all the problems
people are having with TurboTax in this forum. Taxes are stressful enough without corporate nitwits
putting our data at risk and assaulting our fair use rights. Unfortunately, it looks like
more Windows programs are going jump on this bandwagon, so I have been looking into open
source software. Of course, your mileage may vary, but I found Mandrake Linux to be very easy
to install, and it comes with an outrageous amount of quality software. You could easily
spend a $1000 on the Windows equivalents of all the software that comes with Mandrake.
